Al Ghar

Born as a solo project by Laurène Pierre-Magnani (bass, looper and vocals), Al ghar has blossomed into a duo with drummer and singer Neige Arnaud since August 2024.

Their musical world, driven by the organic power of bass and the fluidity of percussion, explores a territory where sensual soul, multilingual poetry and modal improvisation blend together. The lyrics — mostly in French but interwoven with other languages — reveal an intimate writing style shaped by identity questions.

Inspired by artists like Sandra Nkaké or Leïla Martial, Al ghar offers a unique sonic experience where each performance becomes a meeting point between musical structure and creative freedom.
